The cooler weather means I'm not sweating like crazy anymore - thanks breastfeeding hormones!
To celebrate my brother in laws birthday, we went to Chudleigh's Farm and it totally exceeded my expectations.
For a $15 entrance fee (Kinds under 3 are free!) you get a lot of bang for your buck. Wanna see?
Beyond the endless amounts of pumpkins which are great for photo op's, the kids loved jumping through the pumpkins and picking their favourites
They have pumpkins of all varieties and colours which you can purchase (4 for $20)

Gabriel's Favourite part of the entire day?
The massive SLIDE
They've got 3 large slides - and they're fun for everyone. No age limit here - these slides are totally fun for the whole family. Just look at Tony's face
After burning some energy in the playground, we took Gabriel for a fun Pony ride ($5)
Gabriel loved his short pony ride (I think it was about 2 minutes long)
Your pony ride takes place through some beautiful apple trees - so sweet!
...And of course, we had to stop for another photo
After the pony ride we took Gabriel to see all the farm animals.
They had sheep, lambs, alpaca, cows, quail and more! I didn't get any shots of this area of the farm because Gabriel gets a little apprehensive around animals so we just focused our attention on making sure he was comfortable.
Once we finished looking at all the animals, we made our way over to the tractor.

After playing on this big tractor, we got to take a Tractor ride through the farm
You have a choice between two tractors:
One of them will take you to pick apples
The other one is a scenic tractor ride that makes a pit stop - you can get off if you'd like or stay on to circle back to the drop off. At the pit stop there is another playground for the kids.
Overall, we had a GREAT time - the $15 admission was well worth it.
You'll want to make sure you stop at the outdoor restaurant for some yummy eats and pick up a frozen pie to bake once you get home.
For the remainder of the season, there is also live music from 4pm-8pm on weekends.
Overall, a great experience for a great price.
Some Tips for a Successful Day:
1. Check the weather and dress appropriately - bring a blanket for little ones if you think they'll get chilly to be outside for a long time
2. If you plan to buy pumpkins - go for the ones that are rare colours - they're the same price as the basic orange ones (4 for $20) BUT you can get basic orange pumpkins for about $1 at walmart
3. Wear comfortable, closed shoes (runners are best) You'll be walking through a lot of hay!
4. I didn't notice many bathrooms and ended up changing Lucas' diaper in the stroller - just be warned.
5. The farm is stroller friendly but you can't bring your stroller on the tractor. We held Lucas a lot because he's at an age where he's interested and wants to see and touch everything (he's 9 months).
If I did it again, I would probably use a smaller umbrella stroller.
